Planning Sullivan Bicentennial Celebrations

Throughout 2009, Sullivan County residents and visitors will celebrate the 200-year anniversary of the county's founding, orchestrated by the county, Sullivan Renaissance, and a host of community organizations.

A Powerpoint describing bicentennial project ideas for activities and funding, by the Sullivan County Bicentennial Committee, can be viewed below. "Kick Off" In Monticello, March 27, 2009

At the opening ceremony, slated to take place on the official incorporation date, Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Government Center, the committee envisions a re-enactment of the original signing of the County Charter, complete with period re-enactors.
