Sullivan County Clerk, Monticello Native Dan Briggs, Endorses Village Trustee Carmen Rue
Though he previously gave verbal ok to cite his endorsement, I was pleased and honored by written support that came yesterday in a letter dated February 3, 2012 from our our present County Clerk, former Sullivan County Manager and later Treasurer, the Hon. Daniel L. Briggs:
Hon. Carmen B. Rue
PO Box 706
Monticello, NY 12701
Kindly accept this letter as my endorsement of your candidacy for re-election as Trustee for the Village of Monticello. Your tenure in office clearly has demonstrated your commitment to not only only the future of the Village, but the here and now.
The dedication to its revitalization and economic viability are apparent in your tireless efforts to work toward a unified community - one promoting activities for our youth, a wholesome and affordable environment for our seniors, and general restoration of pride in our Village of Monticello.
The residents of the Village of Monticello are fortunate in having you serve on its Village Board. I sincerely encourage my friends and neighbors to join me in supporting you in your bid for re-election as Village Trustee. The Village of Monticello will benefit from your sage leadership.
Other endorsements have come from Senator John J. Bonacic, the Monticello Police Benevolent Association, Sullivan County Legislator Alan Sorensen; along with the Republican, Conservative, and Independence parties on whose ballot lines (B, C, and E) my name will appear in the March 20th village election.
