Chamber of Commerce & Monticello Business Association Plan "Litterpluck" For May 1st
MONTICELLO — The Monticello Business Association, working in with Community Unity and the Village of Monticello, is asking any community groups that would like to participate to get involved in a Litter Pluck May 1 to coincide with the County-wide Litter Pluck Day.
The rain date is May 2.
Groups are to meet at 9 a.m. at any one of the following locations: Monticello Greenhouse, Monticello High School, Schmidt's Wholesale (down Jefferson Street and North Street), Monticello Raceway (down Route 17B, West Broadway) and Coach-Shortline Station (down High Street and doubling up Broadway at Pleasant).
Team leaders will meet groups at each of these locations. The groups will work their way to Cohen's Bakery on Broadway as a destination and meeting point.
This event is open to all ages and groups. Bags will be supplied. Volunteers should bring their own garden gloves or rubber gloves. Bottles of water will be donated by Community Unity.
